CHEF MICHELLE SINGS OPERA!
Chef Michelle Joy Schulman has been a raw chef for nearly 5 years. She has uncooking at Arnolds Way for the last 4 years. Chef Michelle does extensive raw catering with her catering partner, Susan Aman. They catered an almost raw buffet for Michael Bernard Beckwith and 200 of his VIP visitors when he gave a talk in Phiadelphia. Chef Michelle also gives un-cooking classes at Arnold’s Way and in people’s homes throughout the Delaware Valley. She also creates special raw dinners at Arnolds Way and in private homes, where she also sings! Michelle is a trained classical singer, who was a finalist in the Joyce Dutka Foundation Vocal Competition in NYC. She was honored to sing at the wedding of Angela Stokes and Matt Monarch. Chef Michelle was raw for 3.5 years and lost 175 lbs. However, after a very very trying ye! ar when her mother was in the hospital for 8 months and her mother in law died, Michelle returned to the comfort of cooked food, and regained over 100 lbs back. Newly raw again, for 6 weeks, Chef Michelle understands the addictive nature of cooked food and blogs about it on www.PureRawJoy.blogspot.com, a special place to talk openly and honestly about binge eating, eating disorders, weight gain and loss, 811 and gourmet raw. Chef Michelle just lost about 40 lbs and has lost over 90 lbs total with raw food! Playing a wide range of world instruments, from Australian didjeridoo and world flutes to bagpipes and percussion, Darius specializes in “shamanic journeying performances” for adults and children. He has appeared in schools, museums, churches, retreat centers, festival stages and numerous other venues throughout the Northeast. His credits include the Grammy-nominated CD “Around the World and Back Again”; T.V. appearances on MTV, Queen Latifah, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show and Conan O’Brien; and sounds for the Oscar Winning movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”.
